How old do the kids need to be?

This class is (mostly) for kids `6-10 years old.

Do the kids need to read the books themselves?

No. Kids do not have to read the book themselves. You can read it for them or they can listen to the audiobook.

If the kids do not finish the book on time, it is ok. We do not quiz them, we discuss it and then enjoy activities and projects inspired by the readings.

How much do the classes cost?

$120 per session (4 classes, each is 1 hour long). There is 5-8 kids in the class. The book is included.

1st session – Little House in the Big Woods: September 5, 12, 19, 26

We will meet Laura and learn about the life of pioneers. We will churn butter, play games, sew and paint together. We will learn about plants, animals and chores. It will be an adventure.

2nd session – Pippi Longstocking: October 3, 10, 17, 24

In this session we will visit Sweden and join Pippi on her funny, fearless, wild and fiercely independent adventures. We will go a treasure hunt with hand-made bags, put on a circus performance, felt a dala horse, paint, craft and much more!

3rd session – Paddington: November 7, 14, 21, 28

We will visit London with Paddington. We will make (and pack) a suitcase, eat marmalade, put on a puppet show, paint, sew and send home a lot of fun, colorful postcards.
